Tennessee Forest Legacy Program
Liz is a certified wildlife biologist and conservation planner. She is the co-founder of Barber and Mann, Inc, a consulting firm specializing in conservation easements, land planning, real estate and environmental consulting based in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She is also the Forest Legacy Program contract coordinator for the Tennessee Division of Forestry, the Mississippi Forestry Commission and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Forest Legacy is a federal grant program that helps protect threatened forests in priority areas in the state from conversion to non-forest use. She also assists non-profits, public agencies and private landowners across the Southeast with plans, grants and programs focused on land conservation and habitat restoration. She holds an undergraduate degree in Forestry and Wildlife from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science in Communication from Mississippi College.
